Coolie No.1 is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language comedy film directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani. A remake of the 1995 film of the same name which itself is a remake of the 1993 Tamil film Chinna Mapillai,[2][3] the film stars Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan, with Paresh Rawal in a supporting role. Principal photography began on 8 August 2019 in Bangkok. The film was set to be theatrically released in India on 1 May 2020 but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[4][5] It was later rescheduled to release during Christmas on Amazon Prime Video

The storyline of Coolie No.1
Shaadiram Ghadjode is once humiliated by Hoshiyaar Chandra who is Malati’s father. When Sri Ram went to Hoshiyaar Chandra’s house for his son’s wedding and he asked his daughter to marry her son. Then Hoshiyaar Chandra insulted him because he wanted to marry his daughters in the richest family. Then Shadiram Ghadjode decided to teach him a lesson and avenge his humiliation. Thus he meets a man named Raju who pretends to be a wealthy family in the village while in fact, he works as a porter at a station. Whereas, Shaadiram Ghadjode wants his daughter to marry Kuli and be a part of the joke.
